La regrettée Sœur Rosanna Lauture, FMRI est retournée à la maison du Père, le vendredi 13 Septembre 2024, la veille de la fête de Sainte Croix. Le Seigneur l’a
aidée à porter sa Croix comme sa fille au cours de son court pèlerinage terrestre. Elle a bien compris que le chemin qui mène au Christ ce n’est pas le chemin de la gloire, c’est plutôt celui de la souffrance, de la trahison et de l’inconpréhension . Mais la regrettée Soeur Laure FMRI était très consciente qu’il n’a jamais eu de Dimanche Paques sans Venredi saint. Le Seigneur l’a choisie dès le sein de sa mère pour venir travailler à sa moisson et elle a dit oui, comme sa mère Manman Marie à qui elle a toujours voué une devotion spéciale comme sa sainte mère.
Sr Rosanna Lauture FMRI est originaire de la Vallée de Jacmel, l’une des villes d’Haïti qui a donné dans le passé beaucoup de vocations religieuses et sacerdotales. Elle est la fille ainée de Jean Dantès Lauture et d’Adora Luture. Sœur Lauture, FMRI est issue d’une famille de 9 enfants, dont 5 sœurs et 3 frères. Comme l’ainée de la famille elle avait une lourde responsabilité de servir de modèle ou de lumière pour ses autres sœurs et frères. Elle a fait ses études primaires et de brevet à l’école de la congrégation des Filles de Marie de la Vallée de Jacmel. Au cours de sa jeunesse elle a entendu la voix de Dieu qui lui demandait de le suivre dans la vie religieuse, elle a partagé ce secret avec ses parents, ces derniers ont accueilli cette nouvelle avec beaucoup de joie et lui ont accordé leur approbation et leur bénédiction.
Dans un premier temps elle a choisi de cheminer avec les Petites Sœurs de Sainte Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus, PSST, la première Congrégation Religieuse autochtone
d’Haïti, fondée en 1948 par le feu Père Farnèse Louis Charles (11 Juin 1933-12 Juin 1988). Elle a passé 16 ans dans cette congrégation qui a pour charisme ou spiritualité l’évangélisation et la promotion sociale de la paysannerie haïtienne. Avec la Congrégation des Petites Sœurs de Sainte Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus, elle a sillonné plusieurs Diocèses d’Haïti, évangélisant la population paysanne et éduquant leurs enfants. Donc elle a exercé son ministère comme professeure de Catéchisme et directrice d’écoles à Lospalis, Cerca-Carvajal, Cerca- la- Source, Pérondin , Fonds-Baptiste, Cheno et Rivière Froide.
Après ses 16 années dans la Congrégation des Petites Sœurs de Sainte Thérèse-de-l ‘Enfant Jésus, avec beaucoup de prières, de réflexions et de discernement, elle a
compris que le Seigneur voulait qu’elle continue à travailler dans sa vigne à la Congrégation des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée, FMRI fondée le 6 Janvier
1971, par la Sœur Marie Elda Saint Louis, FMRI et qui a pour mission ou charisme la Promotion Humaine et Chrétienne de la Femme. Est-ce que cela a été facile pour
Sœur Lauture de prendre cette grande décision de laisser la Congrégation des Petites Sœurs de Sainte-Thérèse-de-l ‘Enfant Jésus, PSST, qui était pour elle une seconde famille, sa famille spirituelle depuis 16 ans, pour aller épouser la Spiritualité de la Congrégation des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée? Comme étant une Religieuse enracinée dans la prière et une fille de prédilection de la Sainte Vierge Marie elle a décidé de se risquer avec le Seigneur en allant trouver les Sœurs de la Congrégation des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée de Marie en l’année 1974. Son expérience dans la vie religieuse l’a beaucoup aidée dans son cheminement avec cette jeune Congrégation religieuses composée uniquement de Sœurs haïtiennes.
Les valeureuses Sœurs de la Congrégation Marie Reine Immaculée FMRI sont arrivées à la Paroisse Notre Dame Du Rosaire de la Croix-Des-Bouquets en Été 1973, 2 ans après leur fondation, la Sœur Lauture, FMRI aura sa première mission à la Croix-Des-Bouquets au début des Année 1980 comme Directrice de l’Ecole Notre Dame Du Rosaire et de la Sainte Enfance.
Elle était bien accueillie par les élèves de l’Ecole Notre Dame Du Rosaire, de L’école de la Sainte Enfance et la grande population de la Croix-des-
Bouquets. Les Pères Jean Ralph Riccardy Pompée Theodat, PHD, Jean Elex Normil CS et Jean Bernard Dervil trois grandes lumières de la Communauté Crucienne sont parmi les anciens élèves de Sœur Rosanna Lauture, FMRI à l’école de la Sainte Enfance. La Regrettée Sœur Lauture, FMRI a formé au niveau de l’enseignement plusieurs générations ou de promotions d’élèves aux Écoles Notre Dame Du Rosaire et de la Sainte Enfance de la Croix-des-Bouquets. Elle est connue au sein de la population de la Croix-des-Bouquets comme une bonne directrice d’école, une religieuse enracinée dans la prière , qui parle très peu et qui sourit toujours, une religieuse qui a une grande proximité avec les jeunes à travers ses ministères. Elle était très impliquée dans plusieurs mouvements et actions catholiques de la Paroisse Notre Dame du Rosaire de la Croix-des-Bouquets. La vibrante Communauté Crucienne n’oubliera jamais le ministère de la regrettée Sœur Rosanna Lauture, FMRI à la Croix-des-Bouquets. Il est important de souligner qu’avec les Sœurs des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée, FMI, elle a exercé son ministère comme professeure, directrice, membre du Conseil d’administration de la Congrégation des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée FMRI et responsable de pension pour les universitaires. Elle a travaillà Lalue Jean 23, Croix-des -Bouquets, Saut-d’Eau, Coteaux, Roche à Bateau et Lalue 117.
Arrivée au soir de sa vie, elle a vécu une grande partie de ses derniers jours à la maison des Filles de Marie Reine Immaculée de la Paroisse Notre Dame du Rosaire de la Croix-des-Bouquets. Le Seigneur l’a appelée le vendredi 13 Septembre 2024 à l’Age de89 ans après 48 ans d’engagement chez les Sœurs de la Congrégation MarieReine Immaculée, FMRI pour venir célébrer avec lui son anniversaire le 5 Octobre et la fête de Notre Dame du Rosaire le 7 Octobre 2024.

The late Sister Rosanna Lauture, FMRI returned to the Father’s house on Friday, September 13, 2024, the eve of the feast of the Holy Cross. The Lord helped her to carry his Cross like his daughter during her short earthly pilgrimage. She understood well that the path that leads to Christ is not the path of glory, it is rather that of suffering, betrayal and incomprehension. But the late Sister Laure FMRI was very aware that there was never an Easter Sunday without Good Friday. The Lord chose her from her mother’s womb to come and work in his harvest and she said yes, like her mother Manman Marie to whom she always devoted a special devotion like her holy mother.
Sr Rosanna Lauture FMRI is from the Jacmel Valley (La Vallée de Jacmel), one of the cities in Haiti that has given many religious and priestly vocations in the past. She is the eldest daughter of Jean Dantès Lauture and Adora Luture. Sister Lauture, FMRI comes from a family of 9 children, including 5 sisters and 3 brothers. As the eldest of the family, she had a heavy responsibility to serve as a model or a light for her other sisters and brothers. She did her primary and brevet studies at the school of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary of the Jacmel Valley. During her youth, she heard the voice of God asking her to follow him in religious life, she shared this secret with her parents, they welcomed this news with great joy and gave her their approval and blessing.
At the beginning she chose to walk with the Sisters of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, PSST (les Petites Soeurs de Sainte Thérèse de L’Enfant Jésus, the first indigenous Religious Congregation of Haiti, founded in 1948 by the late Father Farnese Louis Charles (June 11, 1933-June 12, 1988). She spent 16 years in this congregation whose charism or spirituality is ‘’the evangelization and social promotion of the Haitian peasant. With the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, she traveled through several Dioceses of Haiti, evangelizing the peasant population and educating their children. So she exercised her ministry as a teacher of Catechism and director of schools in Lospalis, Cerca-Carvajal, Cerca-la-Source, Pérondin, Fonds-Baptiste, Cheno and Rivière Froide. After her 16 years in the Congregation of the Little Sisters of Saint Therese of the
Child Jesus, with much prayer, reflection and discernment, she
understood that the Lord wanted her to continue working in her vineyard at
the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen, FMRI founded on January 6, 1971, by Sister Marie Elda Saint Louis, FMRI and whose mission or charism is the Human and Christian Promotion of Women. Was it easy for Sister Lauture to make this great decision to leave the Congregation of the Little Sisters of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, PSST, which was for her a
second family, her spiritual family for 16 years, to embrace the Spirituality of theCongregation of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen? As a Religious
rooted in prayer and a favorite daughter of the Blessed Virgin Mary, she decided to take a risk with the Lord by going to find the Sisters of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen in the year 1974. Her experience in religious life helped her a lot in her journey with this young religious Congregation composed solely of Haitian Sisters.
The valiant Sisters of the Congregation of Mary, Immaculate Queen FMRI arrived at the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Croix-Des-Bouquets in the Summer of 1973, 2 years after their foundation. Sister Lauture, FMRI will have her first mission at Croix-Des-Bouquets at the beginning of the 1980s as Director of the School of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Holy Childhood.
She was well received by the students of the Notre Dame Du Rosaire School, the Sainte Enfance School and the large population of Croix-des-Bouquets. Fathers Jean Ralph Riccardy Pompée Theodat, PHD, Jean Elex Normil CS and Jean Bernard Dervil OMI, three great lights of the Crucian Community, are among the former students of Sister Rosanna Lauture, FMRI at the Sainte Enfance School.
The late Sister Lauture, FMRI trained several generations or classes of students at the Notre Dame Du Rosaire and Sainte Enfance Schools of Croix-des-Bouquets. She is known among the population of Croix-des-Bouquets as a good school principal, a religious rooted in prayer, who speaks very little and who always smiles, a religious who has a great closeness with young people through her ministries. She was very involved in several Catholic movements and actions of the Notre Dame du Rosaire Parish of Croix-des-Bouquets. The vibrant Crucian Community will never forget the ministry of the late Sister Rosanna Lauture, FMRI at Croix-des-Bouquets.
It is important to note that with the Sisters of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen, FMI, she exercised her ministry as a professor, director, member of the Board of Directors of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen FMRI and head of the university boarding school. She worked at Lalue Jean 23, Croix-des-Bouquets, Saut-d’Eau, Coteaux, Roche à Bateau and Lalue 117.
Arriving at the end of her life, she lived a large part of her last days at the house of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate Queen of the Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Croix-des-Bouquets. The Lord called her on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the age of 89 after 48 years of commitment to the Sisters of the Congregation Marie Reine Immaculée, FMRI to come and celebrate with him her birthday on October 5 and the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7, 2024.
